The user scans by covering these two labels with a continuous press (easy, but depends on the manufacturer) or several presses on the physical button on the side.
As the codes are obtained, they are displayed in their boxes on the screen. When any barcode is correctly scanned, 1 system beep is heard. At this point, the user can replace the scanned codes with a rescan. The central pad remains orange.
When the terminal has one code of each, it validates the whole and determines whether : all is OK (=all 3 codes are scanned and if the item numbers match) the keypad turns green and a gain tone can be heard,
or not OK, the keypad turns red and a siren sounds to attract the operator’s attention.
