Mobile software for the acquisition of timings and production stages

What is this application for?
to document and record, acquire time data with a smartphone the detailed steps of production, change of series, displacements in materials in production and logistics, in order to analyze the lost time and identify optimizations of time paid unnecessarily.

Context, genesis of the application of documentation of ranges of operations:

The application was developed following the request of a customer who produces complex industrial products but has no reliable data acquisition or documentation to deliver to his operators and asks us to reduce production time and optimize production steps.

As the sum of the times of the operations broken down was about 16 hours, we did not see ourselves by economy for our customer, to invoice 2 to 3 days of council to document and record the range.
In addition, our missions on the reduction of batch/range changeover times (SMED method) remind us of the hours spent recording and documenting the smallest gestures of the operators involved in the operation, which frequently lasts several hours, and this without necessarily having a network everywhere on the site!

We have the rare facility of being able to develop mobile applications for barcode / Rfid: we then decided to leave it up to the managers of each workshop to easily do this documentary part by offering them an easy way to do it.

The means of the temporal data acquisition software
To have an appearance of ease to the users, the software implemented, are:

• an easily installable application on Android, which works with intermittent network, proposed here as a test, purified at the use level, adding the description dictation part by voice recognition.
• store and record then retrieve the data in local on the smartphone or on a secure file server hosted by our company via a web interface the range file(s) and the photos corresponding to the steps of the operation or the tasks: not visible here but testable (form).

The mobile task breakdown recording app:
The application allows you to capture, dictate the description of the operation by voice, detail and measure , time each important moment of the production steps by automatic input of the start time (minutes, seconds), and change (end), note the number of pieces and then calculate the theoretical rate, duration, photo and description before moving on to the next step, all without paper or pencil, laptop, or network.
The network is necessary for the start-up and when you want to unload the data: you can work in workshops without network. The step counter is kept from one data download to the next.
Breaks can be made that are not counted in the routing.

At the beginning, the user indicates the SIRET of his company and after checking the validity, the title of his range if new or the system reminds him of the one being entered and the default number of operators during the range.
He chooses the language of voice dictation (his android mobile must already be in this language).

The beginning of seizure automatically starts a timer with a page of seizure of the operation, the task in progress: indicators give him the time spent, the No. of the operation, the battery level.

The user can then enter or dictate by voice the description of the operation, adjust the number of operators present, take a photo attached to this operation, say if the machine produces during this operation and if the operation is "outsourceable" a priori, that is to say if the machine is stopped, if we could make relatively easily this operation machine running (organization work): useful for SMED mainly, Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and more generally in an approach of Just-in-Time, research of productivity.

With a simple button, it moves to the next operation, the timers and durations are calculated and informed on the finished operation and it describes the next task.
A pause or the product is put on hold: no worries: measure the pause as an operation and then remove it in your detailed analysis. This allows you to quickly break down long tasks into small, simple, reducible operations and spend more time optimizing the process and the functionality of the tools available to the operator.

If he wants to retrieve his work: he then presses the transmission icon (disks) (with a network ) and the export is sent to our server so that he can retrieve it easily!

The data will be restored locally on the smartphone or via an optional file server has the following functions: -* export your files and data (ranges in csv ordered, photos in zip) saved in a unique and secure form. Security: logins, encryption, the architecture of the solution gives you all the guarantees of security and confidentiality, uniqueness and absence of data loss.

How to test ?
The Android mobile part is testable for 30 days, by being able to recover the generated range files (first 5 steps of the range), the photos are deleted.

• Size of photos: a large number of photos will be uploaded by zip: it is important to first set the size of your photos to the minimum usable in a documentation (go to the section photos settings of your smartphone), if the sizes of these are very large, the upload will be very long.
• On your smartphone, you start and the application asks for the SIRET of your company (14 digits): if you have contracted a license, it will work, otherwise it will put you in "TEST" and you can see the visible functions of the software. Test, but do not expect to retain anything professional in your machine before taking a license.
